·         The Drummer is situated at the wedding site.

·         The Conch Shell Blowers lead the wedding party sounding the alert that the wedding party approaches.

·         The Chanter follows and will orate the ancient mele with respect to the lifelong union between man and wife as the Wedding Party proceeds to the wedding site.

·         The bride mounts the Tiare Chair and is carried to the wedding site by four Polynesian males.

·       At the  end of the ceremony, the dancers will salute the announcement of Marriage of the Newlyweds by performing the Tahitian Otea:  the Festival Drum Dance of Tahiti in celebration of the bride and groom’s first appearance as husband and wife.

Preceding the Tiare chair carrying the bride would be the Kahili bearers, with the royal standards which signify that someone important approaches. (During the days of the Monarchy the Kahili Bearers walked directly in front of the King & Queen to announce their royal status.  Commoners were not allowed to go beyond the Kahili.)
